About Tia Goebel

Tia is a driven and empathetic leader passionate about building more livable, equitable, and sustainable communities. She is the Executive Director of Compassion Project and holds a BA from Montana State University in Interdisciplinary Studies. In this program Tia designed a degree around the intersection of art, art history, and nonprofit management. Tia has experience assisting those experiencing homelessness and works to address issues in areas such as housing, mental health, education, and gender equity. Although originally from South Dakota, she found herself at home in Montana’s mountain habitat. Outside of having a blast at work, you can find Tia reading, drinking tea, and playing in the outdoors.
