About John Melick

John has been involved with the Compassion Project since Kayte brought up the idea in response to the negativity she was observing.  He agreed and had just experienced a particularly difficult retelling of a playground bullying incident.  Her timing was perfect to convince him this project was needed to balance the scales.  While he continues to work on his own levels of compassion, he does enjoy the reactions of others to the impact of the final project. John works as a Director of Field Placement for MSU’s College of Education, Health & Human Development and is excited to help the project find partners statewide.
